Get Inspired: Create Your Own Glam Halloween Look with Endless Possibilities Customize Halloween looks to fit your style and time constraints. Also, be inspired by a look and get ready for a personalized Halloween experience. One of our favorite glam looks, inspired by Eugene Souleiman's editorial piece for Vogue Nippon, is simply stunning. This glam look has consistently made it among the top pinned Halloween looks for its glam appeal, edge factor and the ability to easily recreate your own. Also, customize your glam look in 15 minutes or take your time to get creative. Here’s how you can get the glam look with your favorite Emani Vegan Cosmetics: This look isn’t about perfection…the messier the better! The focus is the eyes, eyebrows and contouring. In addition, layer and blend different shades to create dimension for a stunning "wow" factor. A Glamorous Halloween Makeup Look with Purple Hues 1. Start with Magic Sealer Eye Primer to make sure your look will last all night! (Don’t forget to add a little under your eyes and around the tops of cheekbones where you will be applying shadow) 2. Crushed Mineral Eye Dust paired with the Duo Fan Brush is the perfect combination pack on pigment and stand out. Moreover, to get the blown out effect shown in the image above, start by layering on in shades 863 Purple Haze (dark shade) and 154 Mrs. Know it All (lighter purple/pink shade) in the crushed mineral dust. 3. After pigment is distributed all over your lid (keeping darker to the outer edges and lighter towards the inner corners of eyes), take your Duo Eye Brush to blend out the edges all the way to your eyebrows. Be sure to leave a just a small space in the arch of your brows open to add your highlight later. 4. When blending and adding color, add the dark colors under your eyes AFTER you have completed the overall look, as you might have some “fall out” (shadow that falls under your eyes) that will need brushed away. 5. To add a glittery effect and create even more dimensions, use the Hybrid Crème Eye Color in 1309 Scandalous. This shade and creamy formula is also perfect for the contour and temple area. 6. Next take the V5 Brow/ Liner Brush paired with your favorite Emani brow product and fill in your brows, don’t be afraid to go darker than your typical shade to intensify the look. 7. Use the Hybrid Crème Scandalous Eye Color (previously used) to start adding purple hues through your temples, above the eyebrow and slightly above the apples of your cheeks (a little bit higher than you typically would with blush). 8. For the glistening highlight, Crushed Mineral Dust in 166 Icy is the perfect shade to give serious glow. Tip: Mix the pigment with a little bit of water or Perfect 10 Serum to turn it into a crème. Furthermore, layer the pigment on just above your brows and at the very tops of cheekbones. 9. What’s Halloween without false lashes? We love House of Lashes, and they are Vegan, Cruelty-Free, and Eco-Friendly! Also, check out their “How to Apply Lashes” guide to help in easily applying your lashes.  10. Complete your look with your favorite Emani Lipstick. For a fun purple lip to match the eyes, wear shade “Temptress” and dab a little bit of the Scandalous shade (used earlier) on your lip for a extra glam effect. Conclusion Remember to have fun with the shades, mix it up a bit and customize it to best fit you and your costume. Our top three favorite costumes to wear with this look are:

GET THE LOOK WITH EMANI DELUXE CREME FOUNDATION

by michelle Doan on Feb 10 2018
When it comes to creating a flawless finish for any makeup look there is one technique to always keep in mind: layer and blend, blend, blend (did we mention blend?). It’s always best to start with a little bit of product, blend it out and then add more product, repeating this method until you reach your desired amount of coverage. Emani’s new Deluxe Crème Foundation glides on skin. It’s specially formulated with peptides, gold and peat that assist in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, and provides an overall youthful glow. Here are a few tips to getting the best foundation application possible: Select the perfect shade When selecting your all over color, test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight. Sometimes foundation can oxidize on skin, meaning as the formula is mixed with the natural oils of your skin, it can deepen in shade. Do a shade text, especially before a big night out. For highlighting, select 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone. You don’t want to go too light or else you will be left with white rings around your eyes (especially if not properly blended). For contouring, select 1-3 shades darker than your skin tone. Blending is especially important with contour. Pro tip: the darker in contour you go, the more you need to blend into skin. Prep skin Before applying the foundation, be sure skin is cleansed and moisturized to create a perfect makeup canvas. Wait about 5-10 minutes after applying your moisturizer to prime skin with the Perfect 10 Primer Serum. Primer creates a base for your foundation, condition and tone skin, while adding extra wear time for your foundation. Foundation application When it comes to applying your Deluxe Crème Foundation (or any foundation) this is where the “layer and blend” technique really comes into play. To get an airbrushed finished, buffing the foundation in with a sponge or a brush (like our V8 Kabuki Brush) is key to truly seamless foundation. Start with a dot of product on the forehead, 1 dot on each cheek (close to the nose area) and 1 small dot on the chin area. It’s always best to start in the center of the face (otherwise known as your T-Zone) and blend out in a circular motion. As you buff the foundation out, remember to work the product into the hairline, jawline and ears. Repeat this process until you receive your desired coverage. Don’t forget whatever the foundation isn’t covering, concealer is your next step and will help take care of this. Concealer The HD Corrective Concealer  offers buildable coverage with a natural-looking finish. Concealer is formulated to be a little bit heavier than foundations, in order to really cover any problematic areas. (Bonus: the HD Corrective Concealer is made with Vitamin C to assist with brightening and firming your complexion!) Start with a little dot in your most problem areas and lightly tap in product with fingers or use the sponge from your Crème Foundation compact. Perfect concealer is not-over layering, a little bit goes a long way!  Set and check The last step is to set your look with the HD Bamboo Setting Powder with the V1 Foundation Brush using a light pressing motion to control shine and blur fine lines. Once your foundation is set, check your jawline and hairline to make sure everything has been blended to perfection!

The Importance of Choosing Vegan Products for a Healthy Skincare Routine More and more people seek out vegan products for one simple reason: it’s a healthy choice. Moreover, even brands that aren’t traditionally vegan are launching products that are free of animal or animal-derived ingredients. Just because your cosmetics designates as vegan doesn't mean that all the ingredients are healthy for your skin. Even when pack as vegan, there are plenty of plant and chemically ingredients that are not meant for the skin. Safeguarding Your Skin: Awareness of Potentially Harmful Ingredients in Vegan Products Your skin, the largest organ in your body, absorbs virtually everything you put on it, so it’s important to know what’s inside the bottle. Also, maintain skepticism about the vegan products you see around you. In addition. watch out for these potentially harmful ingredients: Carrageenan, a possible carcinogen in shampoos and moisturizers Retinol, found in anti-aging and anti-acne products that can cause skin irritation BHT, a preservative in lipstick and nail polish with as yet unclear health effects Talc, a carcinogen found in body powder If you are concerned about ingredients in your cosmetics, you can check their status in the EWG cosmetic database. Breakup with Skin Breakouts: 5 Tips to Better Looking Skin

by KR Bautista on Feb 10 2018
The Impact of Various Factors on Skin Breakouts Skin breakouts when it’s out of balance. Everything you eat, stress, hormones, medications, smog, the makeup and skincare you use, even the household products you clean with can throw skin off its game. Considering that your body absorbs 60% of what you put on it, it’s important to know the truth about what you’re buying and how it triggers skin breakouts. These tips can get you back on track: 1. Know your Ingredients Many personal care products contain pore-clogging ingredients like mineral oil, lanolin, wax, tallow, and cholesterol. Also, these low-cost lipids, often derived from animals or petroleum, can clog pores. Even products labeled as non-comedogenic can have these ingredients, so read the labels before you buy and apply! 2. Choose Clean Formulations These are cosmetic and personal care formulas made with no known toxins or carcinogens. There’s increasing proof that toxic or carcinogenic chemicals are linked to infertility, birth defects, reproductive challenges, learning disabilities, an increased risk of cancer, skin allergies and more. Does that mean products with clean formulas don’t have preservatives or chemicals? No. It means the formulas don’t have any ingredients known to be or suspected of being harmful to people. This info graphic from mindbodygreen.com offers a great snapshot for what to avoid. 3. Acne or not? All skin with acne (a medical condition) experiences breakouts, but not all breakouts are acne-related. Also, you can have breakouts from stress, hormones, diet, medications, skin care products, hair care products, makeup, perfume, laundry detergent—none of which are an indication of acne. Non-acne breakouts are triggered by or managed through lifestyle choices. If you treat breakouts as if they are acne, you can actually make damage your skin and cause premature aging. Only a doctor or esthetician can tell you for sure whether you have acne or are simply experiencing product- or lifestyle-related breakouts. 4. Oil is your Friend Skin naturally produces oil, which is essential to healthy skin. Take it away, and skin can produce even more oil, which can lead to skin breakouts. We know how backwards that sounds: oily skin needs more oil, not stripping away of the oil it keeps trying to make. Dry skin needs even more oil so it can look fresh and hydrated. Keep in mind that not all oils are made equally. Know the difference between good oil and bad oil. Bad oils, such as lanolin, mineral oil or any other petro-chemical based lipids don’t offer any real extra benefit to the skin. We love this list of good oils from PopSugar.com that highlights jojoba, marula, argan, coconut, olive and avocado oil, among others. 5. Wear a Makeup Primer! They not only help makeup last longer, but they can provide a protective barrier to the skin. Dimethicone is a popular ingredient in most makeup primers because it offers a smoothing effect, but it also aggravates acne and sensitive skin. If you want a makeup primer that won’t damage or trigger skin breakouts, try Emani’s Perfect 10 Serum. Bonus tip! 6. Wash your Brushes According to Women’s Health magazine, the build up of cosmetics, bacteria and yeast in makeup brushes can contribute to skin breakouts. It’s recommended to wash them once a week to ensure they stay clean and fresh. Here’s how pro makeup artists do it: Rinse the brushes in warm water and add a drop of very mild hand-soap. Massage into a lather, then rinse until water is clear. Repeat as needed for brushes that are extra dirty or used for darker pigments (such as eye shadow, brows and blush). Gently squeeze out excess water, then lay flat to dry on a towel, preferably overnight. Conclusion Use products with clean formulas and you’ll most likely see an improvement in your skin. There may be a transition period as your skin detoxes as its restores the natural balance, but it’s temporary…and worth it! Please visit www.emani.com for more information about how to go green with your glam.

HOW TO USE CONCEALER TO COVER DARK CIRCLES, BLEMISHES

by KR Bautista on Feb 10 2018
How To Use Concealer We know that concealers help cover blemishes, dark circles and imperfections. However, with so many different types of concealers that come in different shades and various forms, it can be intimidating. Read on, and learn how to use concealer right the first time! There are pro concealer palettes with greens, blues, oranges and pinks that are used to mix and blend. Unless you really know your color correcting principals or a professional makeup artist that has two hours to work towards photo-perfection, this can be a daunting solution, and not realistic for everyday use. Emani’s HD Corrective Concealer formula has done the color correcting for us to make it easy to apply and be done. Also, it’s infused with Vitamin C so it helps to treat blemishes and reduce redness and discoloration. Here’s How To Use It And Make It Last: 1. Select a shade that is a little lighter than your foundation color. This helps to brighten the tone of your skin. 2. To use, first apply primer  on your dark circle or blemish. Try Emani Hydrating Primer Serum, This is a key step. The primer helps the concealer to adhere. Emani’s Hydrating Primer Serum has aloe and chamomile to treat and calm blemishes. 3. Then, apply the concealer with your index finger and pat gently (You can also use a flat skinny brush). Remember, a little goes a long way and you can always build on to it. 4. Apply your foundation. Since the concealer is a little lighter shade in color, gently apply your foundation on top of the concealer to bring it to your skin tone color shade. (Try: Emani Hydra Wear 12 Hour Foundation $30.00). This will neutralize the brightness and will help to avoid the raccoon eye look. 5. Finally, apply powder. Use a puff or a brush. This will help to set your makeup and make it last all day. Emani Perfecting Crushed Foundation Powder. Hope you enjoyed reading about how to use concealer the right way! 7 BEAUTY TIPS ON HOW TO LOOK FRESH AFTER A LONG FLIGHT

by KR Bautista on Feb 10 2018
How To Look Fresh After A Long Flight Is it me or do you find that those 13 hour flights feel more bearable when the flight attendants look fresh and happy? This is not about being naturally good looking. It’s about outward appearance and being aware of how you present yourself to the world could affect positively towards your attitude in the way you approach life. I felt compelled to discuss this with a particular 30 something year old flight attendant, who always looked fresh every time she passed by. Her makeup was intact and her skin was dewy throughout the entire flight. Although, I noticed she wasn’t wearing heavy makeup, her skin looked really natural.  I would like to think that she inspired everyone else around her to hold back their schlepping traveling ways and put on their best face. We talked beauty and how traveling is an art for her, and once I told her some of my favorite beauty products including Emani cosmetics (of course), she gasped and went back to her cabin. Few minutes later, she came back to show me her makeup bag with her Emani Hydra Wear Plus Foundation. “It’s the only foundation and concealer that keeps my skin fresh looking after a long flight because it has hydrating properties.’ she commented. (I still find excitement and surprised when someone uses Emani as it’s not that widely distributed, yet). Here Are More Some Beauty Tips That She Shared With Me To Keep Look Fresh And Radiant: 1. Just because you’re traveling, doesn’t mean you should look like you just rolled out of bed. Be comfortable but look presentable. 2. If I know I’m getting on a flight, I apply a mask the night before to give my skin an instant boost. Select a mask that cleans out your pores and deeply moisturizes. You want a mask that especially hydrates under the eye area. 3. Select makeup that has hydrating properties and lightweight. It will look fresher after a long flight. Try: Emani Hydra Wear Plus Foundation and HD Corrective Concealer. The right foundation and concealer makes you look awake even if you’re operating in only couple hours of sleep. 4. For eyes, I use natural looking false lashes or a lash curler with mascara. And always, always, I line the eyes with a liner or liquid eye liner on the top of the lash line. Eyes are key when communicating with people. I want our passengers to feel comfortable and welcome. 5. I refrain from wearing a fragrance to be mindful of the passengers with allergies or have different tastes than mine. Instead, I’ll use a lightweight hand moisturizer with a fresh scent. 6. I touch up my makeup only once during a flight and that’s only to check if I need to reduce shine. Blotting papers are good, but a powder will also do. 7. I travel with a facial mister. This also helps to my skin looking fresh and it helps when I need an energy boost. Click here to see our article on how to use concealers to cover your dark circles and blemishes.

IN THE GREEN ROOM: CARRIE UNDERWOOD MAKEUP

by KR Bautista on Feb 10 2018
CARRIE UNDERWOOD MAKEUP AND VEGAN COSMETICS – It was announced last week that Country Music’s pop-star sensation, Carrie Underwood (a longtime vegan) and Brad Paisley are set to co-host the 2013 Country Music Awards (airing November 6, 2013) for the sixth consecutive time together! I know the Country Music Awards are a couple of months away, but as we are Carrie Underwood fans at Emani, I couldn’t help but daydream about how killer it would be to hang out with her backstage – have her discover Emani vegan makeup, talk about vegan things and all things good for you (and maybe she would even break into my fav song). My daydream went something like this: Jacquie:Don’t you just love getting your hair and makeup done? Carrie:Yeah, I have an awesome hair and makeup team. Jacquie:You’ve been vegan most of your life. Is that why you have an amazing voice? Carrie:(laughs) Jacquie:As a vegan, I think you would appreciate what Michelle Doan has developed at Emani cosmetics. Since the 90s (before vegan makeup was even a thing), Michelle made it her mission to create a makeup line that was all natural, non-toxic, and vegan without compromising on the quality of application. Carrie:Wow, that’s cool. I’m a true vegan meaning I don’t eat meat or use animal products. I am always willing to try anything good for you. What would be your top 5 Emani products you recommend for me to try? Jacquie:Well, Carrie …(and here would be the part where we would play with makeup) – I think you would look great in: For Lips – I noticed you love the ‘nude pink lip and bold eyes’ look. Emani’s lip formulas are super hydrating and the shades are so gorgeous.Try this: Emani Hydrating Lip Color in Dolce and Emani Lip Shine in Social Climber. For Lashes – Your lashes always look great. Emani has a soy-infused mascara that gives length and volume.Try this: Emani Organic Soy Infused Mascara. For Eyes – My favorite eye trio that I cannot live without is Emani Trio Eye Shadow in Feeling Blessed (love the name). It’s great for everyday. But for a pop star like yourself,Try this: Emani Trio Eye Shadow in Temptation (also love the name). For Cheeks – A pop of color on the cheeks adds a little definition, but it also gives you a natural, healthy aura.Try this: Emani Pressed Blush in Miami Tan. Primer – Before you put on any vegan foundation, use this primer. Michelle really has our back on this product. It’s a primer and serum! Under those bright lights on stage, this will help prevent your makeup from moving and keeps your skin looking dewy and hydrated.Try this: Emani Primer Perfect 10 Primer & Serum. Carrie:Wow, thank you! I can’t wait to try everything. Jacquie:I know you’re about to go on stage soon, but could you sing a verse of the ALONE song from Heart that you sang on American Idol when you won? It’s one of my favorite songs. Carrie:Sure, I would love to. (She sings and crushes it.) Jacquie:Thank you, Carrie. You have a great voice and I love you. It was so great to hang with you. Good luck up there! – Hey, a girl can daydream, right? See you next time,Jacquie

EMANI LAUNCHES STYLETHICS, A BEAUTY & STYLE BLOG FOR GREEN GLAMOUR

by KR Bautista on Feb 10 2018
STYLE BLOG FROM EMANI.COM – STYLETHICS I must confess.….when walking into any retail store that carries makeup and skincare – from the cute little boutiques to the mega shops – I am immediately drawn (or suckered) into the cosmetics department. The bright lights, pretty packaging, alluring scents, beautiful new colors, and anything that glimmers and shimmers – all call my name – and even the gorgeous images of models with perfect skin and makeup that we hope to be able to achieve that confident and youthful glow with the magic products that promise to do so (well, except for the Brad Pitt for Chanel ads…are those off the counters yet?). But once the high settles in from all the eye candy, like candy – the outside looks very appealing but once you look at the ingredient list, you start to rethink about what you just put in your body. We’ve heard it before that beauty is ‘skin deep’, and if this is the case, we really should be paying more attention to the ingredients in the makeup and skincare products that we put on our skin. Luckily, we have Emani Cosmetics, a makeup and skincare line that puts your health first when formulating products…and they’ve done the research and studies to keep us safe. They remind us that our skin is not a solid barrier, and that it’s a penetrable organ that can easily absorb chemicals, including many of the harmful ingredients found in cosmetics that have been linked to cancer, infertility and hormonal dysfunction – triple yikes! With over 14+ years working in the beauty industry, I’ve been invited to be a Contributing Style and Beauty Expert for Emani’s Blog to provide helpful information that is important for us to know, including harmful and safe ingredients to look for when purchasing makeup products, expert beauty tips, hot beauty trends and more. I invite you to take this journey with us and tune in to our blog, as I go skin deep with a brand that makes us rethink what we put on our skin – and go beyond the bright lights and pretty packaging. See you next time, Jacquie

TRICK OR TREAT: WHY MADE IN USA IS NOT A TRICK BUT A TREAT

by michelle Doan on Feb 10 2018
MADE IN USA – ITS NOT A TRICK! We often hear the slogan “Buy American” and it seems like a sales pitch to push American manufacturing and jobs. However, when it comes to the cosmetics industry, this standard is of the utmost importance. A major cosmetic brand has been recently under fire for selling makeup laced with cancer-causing chemicals to the public, all while marketing themselves as a company fighting breast cancer. Have you ever tried to read the labels on your cosmetics? You almost need a PhD to understand and pronounce the ingredients. These ingredients are supposed to make us look pretty, not make us sick. However, many of the cosmetics products made in China and other countries may contain harmful and toxic chemicals, including lead, formaldehyde and octinoxate, found to be linked to cancers and thyroid disorders. An important thing to note is that some overseas manufacturers may not practice GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) to cut corners to save pennies, which can effect your health. Cosmetics made outside the US (and not made in usa) are barely tested. Even on the FDA’s website, it clearly states that “Not all cosmetics are inspected or sampled upon entry into this country.” This is not meant to scare you, but it shouldn’t be taken lightly.  With so many options in today’s cosmetic market, we can make smarter choices about the makeup products we choose . Start looking at the ingredients before you put it on and see where it’s made. Emani Cosmetics Founder, Michelle Doan, develops products with natural, “made in usa” safe and quality ingredients and is completely made in the USA – cruelty free and Vegan – since 1998.  It’s a brand that we can trust to make good business decisions based on our health and safety at the forefront, and doesn’t cut corners that may jeopardize our health to save a penny. HOW TO WEAR MAKEUP DURING WORKOUTS

by KR Bautista on Feb 10 2018
Most of us cringed the thought of wearing makeup during workouts, we all like to look great while working out but – seriously ladies! How To Wear Makeup During Workouts? Study have shown that 70% of women apply makeup before hitting the gym and mascara is the top gym makeup of choice. At Emani we love makeup but not necessarily during a workout, yoga or sleep.  One of the best parts of working out is detoxing your skin through pure sweat. Who doesn’t love a good sweat after soul-cycling or Bikram? The right supplements, good nutrition, drink plenty of water (during workout & through out the day) and a great workout will reward you with a fantastic complexion – glowing skin; rosy cheeks, clear eyes and a hot, healthy body. BUT..if you must wear makeup, we came up with a 2 quick fast cheating makeup at the gym tips: 1. Eyes are the window of the soul. Use a makeup wipe and clean most of the face leaving the eye makeup, liner and brow. Make sure your mascara is smudge-proof, nothing attractive about running mascara when you’re actually running on a treadmill. 2. Kissable lips. Light, sheer, healthy looking lips. Try tinted lip-balm or your favorite Emani Lip Shine gloss to give your lips that fresh, sexy finish. Click Here to see the Emani Lip Shine Gloss

LETS GET WET – SUMMER MAKEUP FOR THE POOL

by michelle Doan on Feb 07 2018
Summer Makeup - the time for bikini-tops and flip-flops, sunny days and starry nights, tan skin and a healthy glow. Maybe you’ll be lounging poolside with an ice cold cocktail. Maybe you’ll have your toes in sand of a tropical beach watching the sunset. Or maybe the wild girl in you is looking forward to a pool party at a Las Vegas Casino. Whatever your plans for this summer, you want to look and feel your best, and we here at Emani Vegan Cosmetics want to ensure you do just that with your summer makeup. Before summer begins, you should remember a few things for your summer makeup. First and foremost, you need to take care of your skin. Even though we all want a golden brown tan, it’s important to protect your skin from damaging UV rays that cause premature aging and cancer. Lather up with a sunscreen before going outside – in the long run, your skin will thank you.  SUMMER MAKEUP – TO WEAR OR NOT TO WEAR? Summer is also a great time go sans-makeup. The natural look is perfect for beach days where you’re constantly in and out of the water. Don’t be afraid to let your natural glow shine through! Or if you feel like you want to add a little color, try Emani Hydra WearPlus Foundation . With 10 colors and all-day wear, it’s the perfect way to add a little color without a “made-up” look. Another great way to get a natural glow with your summer makeup is with Emani Blush & Bronzer, a natural mineral bronzer that gives you a “just home from tropical vacation” look anytime without having to endure damage from the sun. Giving a subtle, natural look, Emani enhances your natural complexion with just enough color to add radiance without looking fake. Vegas, anyone? If you plan to attend any summertime parties, you want to look your best all day. And you may want to spruce up your look to, shall we say, entice that guy across the pool with your summer makeup. Also, use subtle colors and long lasting mascara like Emani Healthy Lash Mascara to make your eyes pop. Lock in your makeup so it lasts all day with Emani’s Magic Sealer, uniquely formulated to lock in eye makeup while neutralizing oils on your skin. Who doesn’t love summer? Make sure your ready your summer makeup with Emani Vegan Cosmetics.

THE BENEFITS OF MINERAL MAKEUP WITH EMANI

by KR Bautista on Feb 07 2018
THE BENEFITS OF MINERAL MAKEUP WITH EMANI What makes mineral makeup so great?  Emani Vegan Cosmetics uses all-natural, 100% mineral ingredients because of its ability to beautify your skin while promoting a healthy complexion.  Here’s a few reasons mineral makeup is so great: It doesn’t include preservatives, parabens, mineral oil, chemical dyes, or synthetic fragrances.  These cheap, skin-irritating ingredients can inflame and cause reactions insensitive skin types and clog pores to cause increased breakouts with problematic skin.  According to leading dermatologist Neal Schultz, “It’s much less likely to cause a reaction in women with sensitive skin. And because it doesn’t contain oil, it won’t aggravate acne-prone skin.” Mineral makeup is healthy.  Because it excludes harmful additives and actually nourishes the skin as it beautifies, mineral makeup is a healthy option. It is appropriate for even the most sensitive skin types.  Dermatologists routinely recommend mineral makeup as the best option for those with inflammatory conditions such as rosacea and eczema.  Oftentimes, it provides the only option for conditions such as these.  Emani Vegan Cosmetics uses non-irritating mineral ingredients that provide a flawless complexion without irritating the skin. Mineral makeup provides physical protection from the sun.  The sun is your skin’s worst enemy and largest external factor that causes your skin to age.  Including titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which protects the skin from the sun’s harmful rays. It has a long, stable shelf life.  So you don’t have to worry that your makeup has gone bad.  The simple formulas are less susceptible to rotting and degradation, so you can keep them on the shelf for special occasions if you’d rather not use them every day. Also, it provides a look that lasts.  The natural pigments blend with and adhere to the skin for makeup that looks fresh long after you put it on. Emani Vegan Cosmetics is committed to using vegan, mineral formulas for healthy, non-irritating makeup that looks gorgeous.  Whether you’re looking for a flawless foundation or bold eyeshadow, Emani is the way to go.

Looking Glossy? How To Get Rid Of Unwanted Shine With Emani

by KR Bautista on Feb 07 2018
Beating the Summer Shine: Tips for a Matte Complexion It’s summer, it’s hot out, and you’re going to sweat.  After all, you’re only human, and perspiration is your body’s natural way to cool off.  Unfortunately, you’re body’s natural, healthy response to the heat often leaves your face looking greasy, shiny, and reflective.  While there is a time and place for a shimmery look, your afternoon coffee date isn’t it.  And we all know there is a big difference between a moist, dewy complexion and an ultra-shiny t-zone.  How can you avoid that unwanted shine?  Here are a few tips from Emani Vegan Cosmetics. Key Steps for Achieving a Matte Complexion First, cleanse the skin regularly with a facial cleanser designed to eliminate excess oil from the skin.  In addition to rinsing away excess oil, many modern cleansers actually penetrate the skin to reduce sebaceous gland production of sebum, preventing the overproduction of oils that gives the skin unwanted shine. Second, tone the skin. Adding a toner to your skin care regimen reduces inflammation in the pores. In doing so, toner reduces the size and visibility of pores while diminishing oil-production so your skin doesn’t get oily as quickly. Third, add a primer to your makeup routine.  Before putting on your makeup, prime your skin with an oil-absorbing treatment.  Not only will a primer absorb excess oil to reduce unwanted shine and provide a clear, matte complexion, it will also enhance the vitality and wearability of your makeup. Emani Perfect 10 uses ten organic extracts to absorb excess oil from the skin and leave the skin with a beautiful, matte finish that lasts all day. Fourth, try a matte foundation.  A high-quality, matte foundation will continue to absorb oil long after application, reducing unwanted shine while promoting an even, matte complexion  Try Emani Flawless Matte Foundation for a flawless complexion without even a hint of shine. Say goodbye to unwanted shine for good with these simple tips from Emani Vegan Cosmetics!

6 Makeup Habits that can boost your health

by KR Bautista on Feb 07 2018
A good makeup artist takes sanitary precautions before applying makeup on their clients. Not only is it professional, but it also shows that the artist cares about their clients’ health. From years of working backstage and at photo shoots, I’ve picked up a couple makeup artist habits that I’ve learned from the pros that are beneficial for everyday use to keep you healthy. MAKEUP ARTIST HABITS SUMMARY 1. Read Ingredients Studies have shown that women absorb up 5lbs of damaging chemicals a year due to beauty products.  Look for natural, organic extracts and vegan. Avoid parabens and talc – 90% of all cosmetic brands contain some form of Paraben. Read more! 2. Carry Hand Sanitizer and Hand Wipes For quick touch-ups during the day, hand sanitizer and hand wipes are handy when a sink is not accessible to wash your hands. Before touching up your makeup, apply hand sanitizer for a clean makeup application. 3. Place your Brushes in a Travel Case Avoid throwing your brushes in your makeup bag. It’s worth investing in a travel brush case to keep your brushes clean. You can also place them in a Ziploc bag to help protect them. 4. Clean your Lash Curler, Brushes and Sponges Once a week, clean your brushes with a professional brush cleaner or baby shampoo. Place water and shampoo/cleaner into a bowl and  swirl each brush in the bowl to get bristles loose. Let brushes soak for 5-10 minutes. Then, place them at the edge of the sink for the bristles to dry. Clean your lash curler once a week with a hand sanitizer wipe, then rinse with water. Dry before use. 5. Sanitize Makeup Pencils by Sharpening Before using your eye pencils and lip pencils, sharpen them for a clean application. 6. Use a Spatula when Applying Creams One huge makeup artist habits item, Instead of dipping your fingers inside a jar of cream or liquid foundation, use a tiny spatula and scoop out the formula on the top of your hand. This will keep your formula free of germs and bacteria.
